Photoblog: A History of Jen’s Solo Trip Selfies

There are of course pros and cons to travelling alone. The pros are freedom in virtually all aspects of travel – where you go, what you do, how much you spend, what you eat – and not having to worry about anyone except yourself. The cons are that you have to worry about yourself a lot, you don’t have much freedom to go out alone at night, and – most tragically of all – there’s no-one to take perfectly posed pictures with famous monuments or beautiful landscapes. Perhaps I should buy a selfie stick, but being honest I quite like the gaucheness of the selfie option on my camera, all the pictures turning out awkwardly angled and close up. Here they are, in all their glory:
