Photoblog: Fuel For The Road; Cuisine In Scandinavia And The Baltics

Cuisine is the most exciting part of going abroad. That doesn’t mean there’s no time to fuel the fire of capitalism at Maccy D’s or Starbucks every so often, but if you go to another country and eat nothing but chips, YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG.

In my quest to eat all of Northern Europe’s finest delicacies, I ended up trying pig’s ear gratin (ugh), cabbage rolls (surprisingly nice), meatballs (obviously amazing), and, uh, whale meat steak (oops). We’ll gloss over how un-sustainable that meal was, though. Unfortunately, my quest to try smorgasbord and reindeer meat was foiled… but there’s always next time.
